Millennials and Generation Z have set a new precedent when it comes to consumer expectations from brands. Experience trumps material goods, social and environmental issues are worth fighting for, and brands are expected to take a stance when it matters. Along with this consumer-brand paradigm shift, these groups are also demanding change related to work life, both inside and outside of a traditional office.
Gone are the days of cubicle farms and wearing ties to work; even the mandate of a 9am-5pm work schedule is starting to disappear. These young adults are looking for careers that provide them with a feeling of accomplishment and a flexible schedule. But because these ideas are still somewhat emerging, the challenge is knowing how to get started finding the right career.
The Find Your Grind app was created with the goal of providing resources to aid young people in pursuing their passions. The brand’s philosophy is to “help individuals discover who they are, where they’re going, and the first steps to get there.” And as experts in how to engage with these generations, the company knew experiential was the best way to spread the word about the launch of the app.
