UK Brand Ambassador of the Month – Laura A

Each month, Elevate rewards one brand ambassador from both the U.K. and U.S. for embodying our values and performing exceptionally for our clients. Each B.A. of the Month wins a £50 gift card and bragging rights! This month, our U.K. honor goes to Laura A. Congrats, and thanks for your hard work!

Why Laura Stood Out and Won this Month’s UK Brand Ambassador Recognition

As a true veteran in the experiential marketing industry, Laura has been working promotions and events for more than 15 years. She is continually inspired by the inherent diversity in the work. She joined the Elevate Staffing team in 2015, but had to take a break from working events when she decided to travel abroad. However, as soon as she returned, she dove back in and quickly became a full time brand ambassador with Elevate.

Laura is a superstar who has worked on a variety of events and receives praise from everyone around her! She has taken on several roles, including as a host for live events and a brand ambassador for both food sampling and gaming campaigns. She is a bubbly character who brings personality and happiness to everything she does. With a permanent smile on her face, she is someone we can always count on to get the job completed to a high standard!

Thanks for your hard work and positive attitude, Laura!

Laura’s Tips, Tricks, and Advice for Being a Standout Brand Ambassador

Laura’s 15 years of experience makes her a great resource for aspiring event managers and brand ambassadors. Below she offers her tips on what it takes to be a go-to resource for staffing agencies in the experiential marketing world.

1. What’s been the key to your success in this industry?

My work ethic, as it’s very simple. I give 100% and take every job seriously. I try to nurture and lead by example, even if I’m not a team lead! I have a genuine interest in people and I’m confident to engage with literally anyone.

2. From your perspective, what makes a flawless execution of an event?

“You must be patient and know that plans can change – even if you plan well in advance. You need to be ok with this (from the) start and, if plans do change, just work towards making the event even better than you originally had planned before. But also, it’s important to treat others how you would like to be treated. This can work in your favour and the process of an event will run a lot smoother with people by your side assisting you, as opposed to going against you.

3. What advice would you give to new staff members like yourself, who want to be booked on for more jobs?

Always give 100%, always be on time, and get noticed for being a valuable member of your team. Choose one good staffing agency like Elevate and stick with them. Be your own BEST Brand Ambassador!

Bonus* If you were an animal, what would you be and why?

“A penguin! (Symbolic) It calls for self-discipline and determination so that you can achieve your goals. The meaning of the penguins also teaches you about having grace when it comes to your actions and emotions. You possess the strength and fortitude to live with and overcome struggles. The penguin spirit animal is a symbol of renewal.”
